Once again the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention demonstrated they are more politically driven than science-driven when they acknowledged on Friday they had mixed together results from viral and antibody tests on its website, elevating the number of tests performed to check for infected individuals.

Opioid manufacturer reaches proposed $1.6 billion settlement

Mallinckrodt announced Tuesday that the proposed deal will resolve all opioid-related claims against the company and its subsidiaries if it moves forward. Plaintiffs would receive payments over an eight-year period to cover the costs of opioid-addition treatments and other needs.
