I'm finding myself getting so angry after reading articles about the opiate epidemic bc it's not the prescription opiate pain pills causing this epidemic prescription pain pills have always been around and never an opioid crisis like now yes there are and will always be addiction and people getting pills and misusing but the crisis now is due to the boatloads of fentanyl being shipped here people are dying from the fentanyl itself and other drugs being laced with fentanyl so taking away prescription pain meds is not the solution it's not fair to the millions of people they help
Got no particular love of Trump, or either Party, so I wish this had something more to do with the Guidelines, and was less one-sided screed. Making big money in office? Pay for play Clinton Foundation come to mind? Nancy Pelosi has informally had a House rules named for her use of insider knowledge to amass a fortune in real estate dealings (land around Warriors soon to be built complex), and Send Claire McCaskill of the 'America consumes 80% of the world's prescription opiods' bs had huge conflict of interest in campaign contributions from law firms actively suing opiod manufacturers. As to word games, the whole far Left Progressive movement is as adroit, if not superior, in using that tool in it's playbook as the Far Right. And, whatever Trump's stupidity on the subject, or his public relations attempt to at least look like he's doing something about the whole mis-framed 'Opiod Crisis', the hysterics and rush to 'do something' without understanding the problems and how these quick solutions hurt innocent responsible pain patients, began under Obama. Opiod Hysteria is a bipartisan clusterf**k, as are greed, ignorance & stupidity.
GabapenGabapentid the best to bring relief from my lumbar related leg pain but I stopped it due to it slowing my brain down too much. It also causes weight gain. Until sonethibg bettercones along for chronic pain, what are we to do? There are approximately 50 million people in this country with chronic pain...many with families to support. Others live alone and have to takecare if themselves. These people need relief and gabapentin helps many of them. Enough said.
So $1 bil goes to the maker(s) of the software and operating costs, and not teachers, schools, police, or even, a non-profit group to aid those that need addiction help? Can't help but think that this isn't about opioids at all, but a coup to see to what extent people's 4th Amendment rights can be infringed on, and other civil liberties, at the taxpayer's expense, no less.
The only and main reason for such drops is because of what the CDC and DEA Stepping in and threatening Doctors for subscribing opioid treatment for chronic pain and cutting people off there much needed pain medication. Or cutting them down cuz of your guide line that has no backing on how much is to much! Every person has different needs , and different pain levels!! Someone fine with 10 mg n the other needs 80mg . It all is different in each person's case as well as medically issues are different and pain management doctors are educated in all areas in order to treat each patient according to there medical chart there needs n there pain levels dosages And how long been on medications! You cant put a set number on it !!! Each person has different needs according to there surgery , disease and so on and so forth not two people alike!! Let the Doctors that are educated treat a patient like a human being not a number as well as it against the constitution not be treated in a humane manner!! Nobody should have to suffer in pain or any other way!!
Disagree wiwth Karin Reisenauer. Plain and simple - - - give the Chronic Pain Patients their "Right to Feel No Pain" back, stop threatening, monitoring, etc. the Pain Doctors, and let them do their jobs. Also, stop blaming the Pharmaceutical Companies for producing opiates, as in Oxycodone. There is plenty of 'blame' to go around for alleged 'overdose deaths,' point the fingers back at those blaming others.
Instead of taking legitimate medicine from chronic pain patients, let’s go after China and other areas that are sending this poison... What’s the matter government? You have your heads stuck so far up your butts that you can’t see that China is the enemy.. cut back on giving to China and other enemies till they stop this nonsense
That's right president Trump you don't like fake news being reported. So when are chronic pain patients going to start getting there pain medication back? How many more people have to die because lack of proper pain control. It was never about pain patients getting there medication they needed to have a quality of life. The problem was all the illegal drugs coming through like the deadly illict fentanyl it's time to end this madness. Stop making pain patients suffer like this
